Matt Dunatchik, LPCC-S
Managing Partner, Clinical Director
Matt is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor – Supervisory Credentialed who graduated with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Dayton. He has worked in a college counseling setting as well as with adolescents in an Intensive Outpatient Group Program. He is a graduate of the Gestalt Institute of Central Ohio. He works with teenagers and adults as well as couples and families. With Matt, you will find warmth, empathy, and a deep compassion for your life experience. He will help you deepen your understanding of Self and the way we relate.

Libby Steele, LPCC-S
Managing Partner, Clinical Director
Libby is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor – Supervisory Credentialed with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Dayton and a graduate of the Gestalt Institute of Central Ohio. She is a warm, energetic and dedicated therapist with a direct style. Libby works closely with individuals and their families to provide a supportive and engaging environment for real and lasting change. She is especially skilled in listening to and working with parents.

Holly Gilbert, LPCC
Partner
Holly is a Gestalt trained Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who completed her graduate training at Columbia University and Wheaton College. She is a warm, personable individual who has a significant passion for helping individuals reclaim all parts of themselves and, through the therapeutic relationship, become a more integrated person. Holly works with children, individuals and families and believes that providing an accepting and nonjudgmental environment is integral in any counseling process.

Amy Carek, LISW-S
You will find Amy’s style to be empathic, empowering, and effective in addressing a range of presenting problems. Her approach uses your strengths to find solutions. She has 12 years of experience working with children, individuals and families and is a certified School Social Worker with extensive experience working in schools with staff, families, and children to overcome behavioral, emotional or social challenges that interfere with success in school and at home. Additionally, Amy holds certifications in Mindfulness Meditation and Stress Reduction, Trauma Informed Practices and the Youth Yoga Project. Amy believes that all people have strengths, resources, and capabilities that can be used in the change process.

Emily Cable McKenna, LPC
Emily Cable McKenna is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida. Emily specializes in helping individuals, parents and families build meaningful connections and find hope and healing. With a diverse background in creative and therapeutic arts-based programs, she brings a compassionate and empathetic approach to her counseling practice.
Emily’s experience working with military service members and their families continues to inform her passion for supporting individuals and families as they navigate life’s challenges. Emily is dedicated to meeting her clients where they are, offering open-hearted listening and genuine support throughout their journey.

Brooke Daugherty, LPC
Brooke is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Dayton. She has a background in Speech and Hearing Science and has honed her counseling skills across several fields from teaching, to pharmacy.
Brooke hopes to see others thrive and not just survive in their life, seeing others get unstuck and move forward is her aspiration. She offers a safe and friendly environment in which one can feel free to openly discuss and explore any areas of their life that they would like to improve.

Abbey Short, LPC
Abbey is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Dayton. She is warm and creative in her approach to working with clients of all ages. Abbey has a background in child development and enjoys helping parents, families and individuals learn to set healthy boundaries and have meaningful connections. She practices play therapy with children and adolescents and will be seen mostly working out of our Upper Arlington office.

Josh Manculich, LPC
Josh is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Ohio University and a Masters of Fine Arts in Dance from The Ohio State University and considers himself a humanistic therapist. “I believe that through personal recognition of our strengths and purpose, we can cope with the considerable difficulties and challenges in our life.” As a helping professional, I lean on current research and recognize that science supports the counseling profession. We are growth-minded beings, and my background as an athlete and artist assists me in viewing the intrinsic and innate strengths of a person. Empathy and judgement cannot coexist in the counseling space, and so I encourage everyone to view therapy as a form of mental hygiene. Within a session, I introduce activities and creative modalities to interact and develop trust with clients.

Allison Hendricks, CT
Allison Hendricks is a Counselor Trainee earning her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Dayton. Building on her existing master’s degree in Public Health and her years of experience supporting students of all ages through academic and other concerns at the college level, she subscribes to a holistic view of healing. Allison believes everyone’s path to growth is unique and deserves personalized care. By focusing on the mental, emotional, physical and professional goals of each individual client, Allison takes pride in providing a space for lasting change. Through her current training and licensure status, Allison is able to see clients at a reduced fee or pro-bono.

Carey Hilovsky
Intake Coordinator and Office Manager
Carey keeps the wheels on the bus for Gestalt Columbus! In her role as Office Manager and Intake Coordinator, she is likely the first friendly voice you hear when interacting with our practice.
Carey has a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University where she studied hospitality management and received an early education teaching license from Capital University.

Avi Stein, LPC
Avi is a licensed professional counselor with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University. Avi works with teenagers, adults and families and has significant experience providing a safe environment for clients who have experienced trauma, struggled with anxiety and depression, and have trouble connecting with others. Avi’s recognizes that everyone has their own individual needs and believes in the importance of meeting clients where they are. Currently, Avi is only seeing client’s virtually.

Ivy
Ivy is one of several supportive animal friends. She leads our welcome committee and is responsible for comic relief. An excellent listener, Ivy puts clients at ease with her friendly and accepting personality. She works on a part time basis as she spends a large portion of her time focused on her biggest passion- chasing squirrels.
