Rachel Chwalik, LPC

Rachel is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Dayton. She has experience working with children, teenagers, and adults and has assisted many individuals through the challenges of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, trauma, and life transitions. Her experiences have allowed her to cultivate a sense of appreciation and understanding of everyone’s unique life story. She believes in providing a safe, open, and non-judgmental atmosphere to allow each client to be their authentic self.

Brooke Daugherty, MSED LPC

Brooke received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Dayton. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Science from The Ohio State University. Prior to counseling she has worked in various jobs, including teaching, pharmacy, and photography.    

Brooke believes that life should be enjoyed and valued. Which is why she desires to see others thrive and not just survive in their life. Seeing others get unstuck and move forward is her aspiration. Brooke offers a safe and friendly environment in which one can feel free to be open, to discuss and explore any areas of their life that they would like to improve. 

Brooke is married and a mother of three little boys. In her spare time, she loves playing with her kiddos, painting, baking, and traveling on fun adventures.

Avi Stein, MSED LPC

Avi is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University. He has worked in a community-based agency, providing counseling services in both the school- and outpatient-setting as a therapist. Avi has also worked in a private practice setting throughout his career, where he has worked with a wide variety of clients consisting of children and families, teenagers, and adults. He has significant experience providing a safe environment for clients who have experienced trauma, struggled with anxiety and depression, and have trouble connecting with others. Avi’s recognizes that everyone has their own individual needs and believes in the importance of meeting clients where they are. 

Amy Carek MSW LISW-S

You will find Amy’s style to be empathic, empowering, and effective in addressing a range of presenting problems. Her approach uses your strengths to find solutions. She has 10 years of experience working with children, individuals and families. She is a certified School Social Worker with the Ohio Department of Education and has extensive experience working in schools with staff, families, and children to overcome behavioral, emotional or social challenges that interfere with success in school and at home. Additionally, Amy holds certifications in Mindfulness Meditation and Stress Reduction, Trauma Informed Practices and the Youth Yoga Project. Amy believes that all people have strengths, resources, and capabilities that can be used in the change process.

Abbey Short, CT

Abbey is a Master’s level Counselor in Training (CT) completing her degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Dayton. She is warm and creative in her approach to working with clients of all ages. Abbey has a background in child development and enjoys helping parents and families learn to set healthy boundaries and have meaningful connection.


Ivy leads our welcome committee and is responsible for comic relief. She is an excellent listener who puts clients at ease with her friendly and accepting personality. She works on a part time basis as she spends a large portion of her time focused on her biggest passion- chasing squirrels.
